Our Story
Intelligent Information Systems and Society (IISS) is an international, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing research on the design, development, deployment, and societal implications of intelligent information systems. As artificial intelligence, big data, automation, and digital infrastructures reshape economies, governance, healthcare, education, and everyday life, IISS provides a platform for cutting-edge scholarship that bridges technology with human, ethical, organizational, and societal dimensions.
IISS welcomes interdisciplinary research spanning computer science, information systems, social sciences, cognitive science, human–computer interaction, ethics, public policy, and emerging technologies. The journal highlights contributions that explore intelligent systems not only as technical innovations but also as transformative socio-technical systems with profound impacts on human behavior, institutions, equity, and global development.
By fostering collaboration across disciplines and regions, IISS aims to support responsible innovation, empower evidence-based decision-making, and illuminate the opportunities and challenges of intelligent systems in shaping the future of society.
