Reviewer Guidelines – NGA
Reviewers receive invitations through the OJS system or by email. The system link is available at submission.pandp.com.my. Reviewers should carefully read the invitation message before responding. They may click the Accept or Decline option provided in the email. If the email links fail to open, reviewers can log in directly to the system. After login they can manage invitations and access assigned manuscripts.
Agreeing or Declining a Review
When reviewers accept an invitation the manuscript appears in the system dashboard. The file will be listed under the section called Pending Assignments. Reviewers should confirm that the topic matches their expertise before proceeding. If the manuscript is outside their field they should decline promptly. Reviewers must also disclose any potential conflicts of interest. Transparency ensures the integrity and fairness of the peer review process.
Submitting a Review
Reviewers can download the manuscript file from their assignment folder. The manuscript is usually provided in PDF format for easy reading. Reviewers should evaluate the originality, methodology, and clarity of the work. Comments for authors should remain constructive, professional, and anonymous. Optional confidential notes may also be submitted for the editor only. Final recommendations may include Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.
Time Frame
Reviewers are expected to respond to invitations within fourteen days. After accepting the task they usually have twenty-one days to complete the review. Timely responses help maintain an efficient editorial workflow. The journal system automatically sends reminder notifications when deadlines approach. Reviewers should inform the editor if additional time is required. Meeting review deadlines helps ensure rapid and responsible publication.
Revisions & Author Responses
Authors may revise their manuscripts based on reviewer comments. In some cases reviewers will be invited to evaluate the revised version. The revised manuscript and response file are accessible in the system. Reviewers should verify whether authors addressed all critical concerns. Additional comments may be provided if necessary for further improvement. This process strengthens the quality and reliability of the published research.
